Refinement & user testing

Hour 1-3: High-fidelity polish (3 hours)

Apply your Brand Guide rigorously:

  • Use your specific fonts
  • Use your color palette
  • Use your specific imagery style
  • Use your Messaging copy (real text, no Lorem Ipsum!)

Why real text matters: Design is communication. "Lorem Ipsum" hides design problems. Real copy reveals if the design supports the message.

Hour 4-5: Usability testing (2 hours)

Get 5 users (can be friends/colleagues if ICP is hard to reach quickly, but ICP is better).

Task: "You want to [goal]. Show me how you'd do that."

Watch for:

  • Where do they get stuck?
  • What do they misinterpret?
  • Do they understand the "Magic Moment" when they see it?

The "Magic Moment" Test: When they reach the core value screen (e.g., "Approved!"), do they smile? Do they nod? Or do they look confused?

If they're confused, your design isn't communicating the value.
